I earned my BS in Dairy Science from Virginia Tech, graduating summa cum laude. I also graduated from the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management. My career includes over 35 years in banking, nearly all in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with the majority of that time spent working with commercial, business and agribusiness clients. I enjoy working with business owners in the various phases of their business life cycles and helping folks reach life goals.
My husband, Jimmy, and I met at VA Tech and married in 1984, and we have a grown daughter, Jennifer, who is also a proud graduate of VA Tech! She works in the economic development and tourism-marketing industry in the Shenandoah Valley.
I am passionate about supporting our community in my spare time, serving on the local Hospital Board, as well as the Blue Ridge Community College Board. I am also active in Rotary and other civic activities. We are avid fans of our local high school, Riverheads, and enthusiastically support them in many endeavors, especially football! We also love VT sports. My husband is a lifelong beef cattle farmer and my family continues in the dairy business. I enjoy walking (nearly every morning) and reading in my spare time.
